For a Holland America experience with a different twist, try the Westerdam, which is actually not a ship built for Holland America at all, but the old Homeric, a vessel constructed for now-defunct Home Lines. Another older Holland America Line ship, the Noordam, is also sailing in the Caribbean this year. Although not boasting the bells and whistles of Holland America's newer offerings, the Westerdam and Noordam continue to boast a cadre of loyal followers (although there getting up there in years).

  

PRICING: Generally, prices for Caribbean cruises in the "Premium" category range from lows of around $100/night plus air fare for inside cabins, food included, to highs of around $800/night for superior suites with private verandahs. Discounts may apply.
